What our customers say

★★★★★

“I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had to in this case because I can't recommend Quentin highly enough. I've used Quentin for more than three years for so many jobs I've lost count, and he has been exceptional every time. He is efficient, capable, professional, and incredibly organised. He can assemble or install just about any piece of furniture or equipment, no matter how complicated, including huge wardrobes and bunk beds.”

★★★★★

“Quentin was amazing. So professional, and very reasonable price. He carried 42kg boxes up stairs with no complaints! The wardrobes he installed look so good and his attention to detail was excellent. He made adjustments to the walls to ensure the wardrobes were better aligned. I can't recommend him highly enough.”

How we price it

The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Olympic benches are a flat bench combined with a barbell rack. The rack uprights need to be at the same height and the J-hooks need to be level before any barbell is placed on the rack. The main frame goes together first: base legs, main beam, and the upright posts. The upright posts are the barbell rack and they attach to the rear of the main beam on most designs. The posts need to be confirmed vertical on both faces before the cross-member at the top of the posts is tightened, because the cross-member pulls the posts toward each other and will lock any lean in. J-hooks on an olympic bench may be fixed or adjustable. Adjustable hooks pin into holes in the uprights at multiple heights. Both hooks need to be at the same hole position on their respective uprights. Confirming this before placing the barbell avoids an uneven bar under load. Spotter catchers on an olympic bench are the horizontal bars that catch a failed lift. They need to be at the right height to catch the barbell just above the user's chest. The catcher height is set before the pad is bolted down, because the pad position determines the user's chest height relative to the catcher bracket. The pad bolts to the main beam. The pad needs to be centred under the uprights, with the user's chest directly below the barbell path. A pad that is forward or back of centre changes the effective reach to the bar. All frame bolts are at the manufacturer torque before use. Work covers South Sydney, St George, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the inner city. Flat-pack waste gets stacked neatly before finishing. Drop us a line with the item name or a link and we will have a price back to you.
