How we price it

The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Lat pulldown machines are a single cable column with a top pulley and a knee pad that holds the user in position during the pull. The cable routing and knee pad height are the two adjustments that need to be set before the machine is used. The frame goes up first: base, upright, and cross-arm. The upright needs to be confirmed vertical before the cross-arm is tightened. On most lat pulldown designs, the cross-arm is the overhead beam from which the lat bar hangs. The cross-arm bolt at the top of the upright needs to be confirmed tight before any cable load is applied. The pulley sits at the top of the upright or at the end of the cross-arm. The pulley shaft bolt needs to be tight before the cable is routed. The cable routes from the weight stack through the upright, over the top pulley, and down to the lat bar attachment. Most lat pulldown cables have a ferrule that clips to the weight stack sheave pin and needs to be fully engaged before the stack is loaded. The knee pad is a padded beam that the user's thighs go under to keep the user in the seat during a heavy pull. The knee pad height is set by a pin in the column below the pad. The right height is where thighs are slightly compressed under the pad with feet flat on the floor. Setting the height before the machine is used avoids adjusting it between sets. Seat height on lat pulldown machines that include a seat is adjusted separately from the knee pad. If the building has a service lift that requires booking, include that detail when you request a quote. Photos are taken when the job is done. Send a quick quote request with the item name or a photo.
