How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Single cable machines are a one-column cable pulley system used for a wide range of exercises. The build sequence is a simplified version of a functional trainer: frame, cable routing, and weight stack. The upright goes on the base plate first. The base plate bolt pattern needs to be confirmed before the upright is stood, because standing and adjusting a fully assembled upright is more difficult than confirming the base plate while it is flat. The upright needs to be vertical before the cross-arm or top bracket is tightened. The top pulley attaches to the cross-arm, or to the top of the upright on designs without one. The pulley shaft bolt needs to be confirmed tight before the cable is routed. On a machine with a height-adjustable carriage, the lock pin needs to be confirmed engaging the rail before any cable load is applied. Cable routing on a single cable machine follows the same sequence as any cable machine: weight stack sheave pin, then each pulley in order from the stack to the working attachment point. Getting the routing order wrong binds the cable at the misrouted pulley. Some machines have a low pulley in addition to the high, with the cable switching direction via a redirecting pulley at the base of the upright. On these designs, the cable path needs to be confirmed clear of the base frame before the weight stack is loaded. Weight stack plates are loaded after all cables are confirmed routed. The stack guide rods need to be seated in the base plate guide brackets before the stack is loaded.
