How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

A bed frame looks straightforward enough from the front of the box, but once you open it you are often looking at dozens of slats, metal brackets, cam bolts, and a centre support rail that has to be exactly right or the whole thing shifts in the night. If your frame has a gas-lift mechanism, there are pistons and channels to align before you can get anywhere near the mattress platform. Get that wrong and the gas lift either will not open or will not stay up. The build follows the manufacturer instructions and the frame goes together the way it was engineered, solid and quiet with no movement and no squeaks. The centre support leg is the most commonly skipped step: it looks optional but it is not. A centre support leg that is not seated on the floor correctly allows the slat system to flex in the middle of the night. Most squeaks that get blamed on the frame itself are actually the centre leg. Slat spacing matters too. Slats unevenly spaced put pressure on a mattress in the wrong places, and on foam mattresses in particular, uneven support shows up in the foam over time. Frames with under-bed storage or gas-lift bases have their own sequence. Storage drawers need to be fitted before the side rails are locked, and on gas-lift models the pistons need to be at the same height before the mattress platform bolts on.
