How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

A buffet or sideboard-style unit has the same carcass-first sequence as most flat-pack storage: back panel before top cap, top cap before anything else. The difference with a buffet is the number of drawer runners. Most buffets have three or four drawers in a row, and each pair of runners needs to be at the same height as the pair above and below. If one row sits 2mm lower than the row above it, the drawers in that row will clear each other but the reveal between them will be uneven. The drawer front on a buffet often has a reveal adjustment, which means the drawer box can be in the right position but the front panel is adjusted to line up with the adjacent fronts. The adjustment is usually a bolt at the back of the front panel. Set each front to match the one beside it before final tightening. Door hinges on buffets are adjustable in three axes. The adjustment that matters most is the side-to-side axis, which controls the gap between the door and the edge of the carcass. On a two-door buffet, both doors need to have the same gap between them at the centre. On an inset door design, that gap is usually around 2mm, which is a tighter tolerance than most overlay doors.
