Dining furniture assembly has one priority that overrides everything else: the table needs to be steady before any chairs are built. A table that rocks will not stop rocking once chairs are placed around it. The table is levelled using adjustable feet in the final position, not on the way to the position.
Extending dining tables have a mechanism that determines whether the extension leaves sit flush with the fixed surface. The mechanism track needs to be confirmed aligned before the extension leaves are tested. A track that is not aligned will cause the leaves to sit proud of or below the fixed surface at the join.
Bar stools arrive unassembled with a specific height range set by the gas cylinder. On a set of stools, confirming all cylinders extend to the same height before the stools are put into service avoids one stool being noticeably lower than the others. The footring position on each stool is set at the same height before handover.
Buffets, sideboards, and bar cabinets follow the standard carcass sequence. The carcass is squared before the back panel is fixed. Doors are adjusted flush before handover. If a buffet is going to carry a heavy load such as a drinks station, the wall anchor is confirmed before loading.
