How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Dining chairs are often dismissed as a quick assembly, and a single chair is. A set of six is a different job. Every chair has the same sequence but each one needs to be done right, because a chair that goes together with even tension across all leg-to-seat bolts will be solid and quiet. One assembled with uneven tension will creak when sat in, and the creaking comes from the bolt working slightly loose as the joint flexes. The cross-brace or side rail on most dining chairs is the structural element. It has to be in place before the legs are fully tightened, because the rail locks the seat frame square. Fit the rail after the legs are fully tightened and you cannot get the rail to sit flush; you end up tightening the legs down again to get it right, by which point the seat has moved. Upholstered dining chairs often have a seat pad that attaches to the underside of the seat frame with four screws. The pad needs to be centred on the frame before the screws go in. Off-centre, the gap between the pad and the chair back will be visibly uneven. On chairs with arm rests, the arm position also needs to be set before the seat bolts go in. Tidy up as we go and leave the room as we found it. A lot of Sydney deliveries mean a lift that needs booking, a tight stairwell, or a street with no loading bay. That is normal territory. A photo of the assembled piece from the store website is all we need to quote it accurately.
