How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Changing tables combine a storage unit with a raised platform, and the two parts have different build requirements. The carcass goes together first, with the back panel seated and the unit checked for square before the top section is fitted. The raised platform is usually a separate rail system that attaches to the top of the carcass or runs as a framed section above it. The safety rail is the part that needs the most attention. It needs to be at the correct height relative to the changing mat to prevent roll-off, and it needs to run at that height across the full width of the unit without any flex in the middle. Most changing table rail systems use a two-bolt bracket at each end. Both brackets need to be at the same height before the rail is locked, or the rail will slope and the mat will slide to one end. The changing mat fits inside the raised rail system on most designs. The mat is usually held in position by its own weight plus friction against the inside of the rail. The rail height above the mat surface should be consistent across the full length. A mat that sits below rail level on one end but above on the other means the rail is not level. Storage shelves below the changing surface use adjustable pins, the same as any other shelving unit. The pins need to be at the same row on both sides.
