How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Height-adjustable children's desks have a frame that needs to be set before the top goes on, just like an electric standing desk but with a manual mechanism. The height adjustment on most children's desks is a set of threaded inserts in the legs, with a locking collar at each insert. All four legs need to be set to the same height before the top is fitted. With the top off, the frame can be levelled and the adjustment confirmed with a tape measure. Once the top is on, the only way to check the leg height is to look at the floor contact point of each foot. The cable channel on a children's desk is usually a grommet hole in the desktop rather than a full spine. The grommet needs to be fitted before the top is bolted down, because the grommet sits in a pre-cut hole that is accessed from above and below. Fitting the grommet after the top is on means laying the desk on its side. Desks with an attached hutch or upper shelf unit have a separate sequence. The hutch attaches to the back of the desktop via brackets that are bolted to the desk surface. The bracket positions need to be marked before the hutch is lifted into place, because the bolts are difficult to adjust once the hutch is load-bearing. A lot of Sydney deliveries mean a lift that needs booking, a tight stairwell, or a street with no loading bay. That is normal territory. Completion photos are taken as part of every booking.
