How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Garage shelving racks look simple but they have a build sequence that matters for stability under load. The uprights slot into the base plates, and the base plates need to be the right distance apart before the uprights are locked. Most garage rack systems have a fixed base width built into the design, but some allow adjustment. Getting the base width wrong by more than 5mm means the shelves will not sit level across the frame. The diagonal cross-braces are the element most people fit last or skip entirely. The cross-braces stop the frame from racking under an uneven load. Garage storage is often unevenly loaded: a heavy box on one end of a shelf with nothing on the other puts a lateral load on the uprights. Without the cross-braces, the frame flexes laterally and over time the shelf clips loosen. The cross-braces go in after the shelves are set at the right heights but before the rack is loaded. Shelf height settings need to be confirmed before the rack goes against the wall. Most garage rack systems use a clip or hook at each corner of the shelf that locks into a slot in the upright. The clips need to be seated fully; a partially seated clip can release under a downward load rather than a lateral one.
