How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Utility shelving in a laundry or garage is often lighter in construction than domestic shelving, but the sequence is the same and the anti-tip step matters more because utility spaces tend to have heavier and more uneven loads. The back panel goes in before the top cap, the carcass is checked for square, and the unit is anchored before heavy items go on the shelves. The back panel on utility shelving is often a single large sheet, thinner than the side panels. It needs to be fully in the groove on all four sides, not just resting against the groove edge. A back panel that is not properly seated will bow outward under the weight of the load because the load compresses the side panels slightly inward. Adjustable shelf pins in utility shelving often have a heavier-duty pin than domestic shelving, with a larger diameter and a deeper seat. The pin diameter needs to match the hole diameter. Using the wrong pin leaves the shelf sitting on a loose pin that can slip sideways under load. The shelf pins on both sides need to be at the same row, and both need to seat flush. Anti-tip brackets are fitted as standard. The bracket attaches to the top rear of the unit and anchors to the wall with the right fixing for the wall type: timber stud, masonry plug, or plasterboard toggle. If you are above the ground floor with no lift, mention it when you book so timing can be planned around it. Photos of the finished piece are part of every job. A photo of the assembled piece from the store website is all we need to quote it accurately.
