How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Coffee tables are a shorter assembly job than most but they have a few things worth knowing before you start. The legs on rectangular coffee tables often look identical but are handed, and the manufacturer machines the thread at a slightly different angle for each corner. Fitting the wrong leg to the wrong corner shows up as a wobble that tightening cannot fix. Lift-top coffee tables have a mechanism that needs to be fitted square to the underframe before the top is attached, or the lift will bind when the top is at mid-height. The mechanism arms on most designs are handed left and right and need to be set to the same height before the top goes on, because adjusting them afterwards means taking the top off again. Glass-top tables need the retaining clips positioned correctly under the glass. Most manufacturers include rubber gaskets between the clip and the glass to absorb movement. Too tight and the glass can stress-crack at the clip point over time; too loose and the glass moves. The right tension holds without visible flex in the gasket. Nesting tables have a similar issue: the clearance between the main table and the smaller insert is usually around 5mm, so both need to be square to avoid one scraping against the other when pulled apart. Work comes from apartments in the inner city, terrace houses in the Inner West and houses across the Eastern Suburbs. Flat-pack waste gets stacked neatly before finishing.
