How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Display cabinets are more involved than a standard bookcase, mostly because of the glass. Glass shelves are reversible visually but not mechanically: they have a specific orientation that determines whether the adjustable clips support the weight from the correct side. Fitting a glass shelf upside down puts the load on the wrong edge and the shelf will flex under moderate weight. The clips that hold glass shelves in position also have a specific seated angle against the side panel. Forcing them in at the wrong angle bends the clip, which then holds the shelf at a slight tilt. Glass doors on display cabinets use fully adjustable hinges. The key step before hanging a glass door is that the carcass needs to be exactly square, because a glass door cannot flex to compensate the way a timber door can. An out-of-square carcass will leave one corner of the glass door sitting proud of the frame, and no amount of hinge adjustment will fix that once the top cap is tightened. The right order is: carcass, back panel, square, tighten, fit hinges, hang doors. Lighting strips, where the cabinet includes them, need to be routed before the top cap goes on because the wiring runs along the top of the carcass. Freestanding display cabinets are often tall relative to their base and benefit from the wall-anchor bracket included in the kit. If the building has a service lift that requires booking, include that when you request a quote. Photos are taken when the job is done. A photo of the assembled piece from the store website is all we need to quote it accurately.
