How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

TV units and entertainment centres have a sequence problem that the instruction sheet rarely makes obvious. The carcass has to be square before the back panel goes in, because the back panel is what stops the whole thing from racking, and a panel installed into an out-of-square carcass will bow slightly under the stress. Once the back is in and the unit is square, the shelves go in and then the top. Any internal cable channels need to be sorted before the top is fitted because you cannot access them afterwards. Doors are usually the last item in the instruction sheet and the most fiddly. The hinges need to be on the right shelf pin positions before the door is hung, or the gap above and below will not be even. Most flat-pack hinges allow three-axis adjustment, which is necessary when the door is 600mm tall and the gap tolerance is under 2mm. Drawers on entertainment units often have a soft-close runner that requires a specific clip position on the slide to engage. Missing it means the drawer loses the soft-close function or the runner does not stay in. Glass panels, where the design includes them, need to go in before the surrounding frame pieces are tightened. A lot of inner-Sydney apartments mean tight living rooms with no room to stage the full unit flat on the floor. The build sequence can be adapted for smaller spaces. Completion photos are taken as part of every booking. A product name or a link to the item page is enough to get a price.
