How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

A flat-pack desk has a single step that matters more than any other: the cable spine or management channel needs to be fitted before the desktop is locked. On most desk designs, the spine runs along the underside of the top panel or through the leg frame, and once the top is bolted down the cable route is effectively closed. Running cables through a properly fitted spine means they are hidden and the route is clean; adding them afterwards usually means the cables loop around the outside of the frame. The frame on a rectangular desk is held square by the desktop itself. The frame goes together first, and it needs to be checked for square before the top goes on, because the top locks the frame at whatever angle it is in when the bolts are tightened. A frame that is 3mm out of square across 1.2 metres is not visible to the eye but means the desk will not sit flush against a wall without a gap on one side. Monitor arm mounting plates are sometimes included with the desk rather than the arm. These plates sit in a grommet hole in the desktop and need to be at the right height relative to the desktop surface before the plate is locked. Setting the plate too low means the arm cannot be tightened; too high and it sits proud of the desk surface. Inner-city streets often have no loading zone and limited parking.
