How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Drawer units, whether they stand alone or slide under a desk, have a compounding runner problem. Each row of runners needs to be at the same height above the base of its drawer opening, and the rows also need to be parallel to each other vertically. A 2mm height difference in one row means that drawer binds. But a 2mm difference in the vertical spacing between rows means the drawer fronts will not line up. Soft-close runners have a clip position on the slide that sets the engagement point. Most soft-close drawer systems use a push-in clip on the front of the slide rail that catches a plate on the underside of the drawer box. The clip position needs to be set before the drawer box is fitted to the runner. Setting it after means pulling the drawer fully out to access the clip. Drawer fronts on most office drawer units are adjustable via bolts on the back of the front panel. The fronts can be moved up, down, left and right within a limited range. The adjustment is easiest when the drawer box is in the carcass: set the position of each front to match the one above and below it, then tighten the bolts. Whether it is a city apartment or a house in the Eastern Suburbs or Inner West, the access situation is part of the job. Packaging goes back in the boxes before leaving.
