How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Storage cabinets are built the same way regardless of the room they go in. The carcass sequence is always back panel before top cap because the back panel locks the carcass square. Once the top cap is on and tightened, any twist in the carcass is fixed permanently. Checking for square after the back panel is in but before the top cap goes on is the right time, because the cap is the last opportunity to correct the alignment. Shelf pins need to be at the same row on both sides of the carcass. Most storage cabinet designs use a 32mm pitch hole row. Getting pins in on the wrong row on one side tilts the shelf, which is visible and also means anything sitting on the shelf will slide. On units with multiple shelves, the spacing between shelf rows is usually uniform; mismatched row counts will cause a shelf to sit at a different height on one side. Doors on storage cabinets use adjustable hinges. The hinge adjustment that matters most is the depth axis, which brings the door in or out relative to the carcass face. On overlay doors, the door should sit flush with the carcass front face, not proud of it or recessed. After the depth is set, the side-to-side and height adjustments even out the gap. If you are above the ground floor with no lift, mention it when you book so timing can be planned around it. Photos are taken when the job is done.
