How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Spin bikes are a heavier, fixed-gear exercise bike designed for high-intensity use. The build is similar to an upright exercise bike but with a heavier flywheel and a friction or magnetic resistance mechanism. The main frame goes together first. Spin bike frames are usually one piece, and the stabiliser feet thread into the base tube ends. The feet need to be confirmed tight and level before the bike is used, because a spin bike generates significant vibration at high cadence and a loose foot will amplify that vibration into the floor. The flywheel on a spin bike is a heavy disc, and on most designs it is already fitted to the frame at delivery. The crank arms are separate and bolt to the flywheel axle. The left and right crank arms need to be at 180 degrees to each other. A crank arm that is at the wrong angle will cause the bike to feel uneven through the pedal stroke. Pedals thread into the crank arms with the same handedness as a regular exercise bike: right pedal is right-hand thread, left pedal is left-hand thread. Seat posts and handlebar posts slide into their respective frame tubes and are locked by a quick-release clamp or a bolt. The seat height and fore-aft position are both adjustable on most spin bikes. Setting these before the console or monitor is mounted avoids reaching past the console to adjust. The resistance knob on a spin bike tightens the friction pad or adjustment against the flywheel. Confirming the knob reaches the flywheel and applies resistance through its full travel is part of the build check. Coverage spans the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, South Sydney and the inner city.
