How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Squat stands are a two-upright design without the rear frame of a full power rack. The uprights need to be at exactly the same height and the J-hooks need to be level before any lifting is done. Each upright is a vertical tube on an adjustable foot plate. The feet need to be set before the uprights are stood, because adjusting a foot under a loaded upright is not safe. Confirming both foot plates are flat before any weight is placed is part of the setup. The uprights on most squat stands are not connected to each other at the base, which means they can shift apart under lateral load. Bolt-down anchors are available for most designs and should be fitted on any hard floor where the stand is in regular use. J-hooks hang on numbered holes in the uprights. Both hooks need to be at the same hole position on their respective uprights. Confirming this with a measuring tape from the floor to the hook face on both sides before the bar is placed avoids finding an out-of-level bar under load. Spotter arms on squat stands that include them are fitted to the uprights and lock at a height below the J-hook position. The spotter arm height should be set to catch a failed lift at the lowest point of the squat without fouling the upright during a good lift. Some squat stands have a pull-up bar that bridges the two uprights at the top. The bridge bar is the last component fitted and is confirmed tight before use. Work covers South Sydney, St George, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the inner city. Photos are taken when the job is done. Tell us what needs building and we will send a price.
