How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Barrel saunas are a cylindrical timber structure assembled from staves banded together on a cradle base. The stave assembly and band tensioning are the most critical parts of the build. The cradle base goes down first. The cradle is two curved wooden arches that sit on the ground and support the barrel. The cradle feet need to be on a flat surface, and on soft ground, the feet usually rest on paving slabs or timber skids to prevent sinking. The cradle arches are spaced at the distance specified in the instructions; the barrel staves need to span both arches when the barrel is assembled. The staves are the curved timber boards that form the barrel wall. They are assembled vertically around the cradle. Most barrel sauna kits include a starting stave and an assembly direction. The staves slot together at the edges on tongue-and-groove joints. Each stave needs to be driven firmly onto the previous one before the next is placed. Bands are the metal hoops that run around the outside of the barrel and hold the staves together. Most kits include two or three bands. The bands go on after a partial or full set of staves are in position, depending on the kit instructions. The band tension needs to be set evenly by tightening all band nuts in small increments rather than fully tightening one at a time. The door frame is a flat-faced panel that closes one or both ends of the barrel. The door frame panel needs to be square and the door gap consistent before the hinges are confirmed. A lot of Sydney deliveries mean a lift that needs booking, a tight stairwell, or a street with no loading bay. That is normal territory. Message us what is in the box and we will price it.
