How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Desks with integrated drawers are really two builds in one: the drawer pedestal and the desk surface. The pedestal has its own internal sequence. The back panel goes in before the runner rails, the runner rails are fitted and levelled, and the drawer boxes are hung and adjusted before the pedestal top is locked. Once the pedestal top is on, the runner positions are inaccessible. Runner alignment on a desk pedestal is the detail that most problems trace back to. The left and right runners need to be at exactly the same height above the base of each drawer opening, and on a three-drawer pedestal, the row-to-row spacing needs to be consistent. A runner that is 2mm out of level will cause the drawer to bind before it is fully open. Most pedestals use a 37mm runner that provides some tolerance, but not enough to cover a 2mm error in both directions. Drawer fronts are usually attached to the drawer box via adjustment bolts that allow up-down and side-to-side movement. All three fronts on a pedestal need to be adjusted so the gap between them is even, and the bottom front needs to sit flush with the bottom edge of the carcass. Adjust from the bottom front up; the top front gap is easier to set once the lower fronts are in position. The cable spine on the desk surface needs to be in place before the top is bolted down. Once the top is locked, the spine is inaccessible from above. Work covers South Sydney, St George, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the inner city. Photos are taken when the job is done.
