How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Executive desks are larger and heavier than a standard office desk and usually have more components: a separate pedestal with drawers, a modesty panel, and a cable management system that runs under the desktop. The build starts with the pedestal. The pedestal is its own assembly: base, carcass sides, top, and drawer runners. The runners need to be level before the drawer boxes are hung. The pedestal top, once locked, makes the runners inaccessible from above. Getting the runner heights right before the top goes on is the step that saves re-work. The modesty panel on an executive desk is a solid or perforated panel that attaches to the front apron rail of the desktop frame. It hangs below the desktop surface and screens the user's legs. The panel attaches before the desktop is placed because the fixing bolts go through the apron from the inside. Once the desktop is on, the fixing bolts are covered. Cable management on an executive desk is usually a spine or tray that runs along the rear of the desktop frame. The spine goes in before the desktop is placed, for the same reason as the modesty panel. The cable entry points need to align with the grommets in the desktop surface when the top is placed. The desktop itself is the last major component. It bolts to the frame from underneath, and the bolt positions are pre-drilled. Confirming the desktop is fully seated on the frame before driving the bolts avoids the top sitting slightly proud at one corner.
