How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Storage cupboards are tall, door-fronted carcasses and the sequence is similar to a wardrobe: the carcass needs to be square before the doors go on, and the hinges need to be set before the door gap is adjusted. The carcass for an office storage cupboard is usually a flat-pack of two side panels, a top, a base, a back panel, and one or two fixed shelves. The back panel squares the carcass and goes in before anything else is fitted inside. On a two-door cupboard, the central divider is a fixed shelf or a vertical panel that determines the door gap. The divider needs to be in place and confirmed vertical before the hinge plates are fitted to the side panels. Hinge cups on cupboard doors mount in pre-drilled holes in the back of the door panel. The cup depth needs to match the hinge arm length or the door will sit proud of the frame. Most flat-pack cupboard hinges use a 35mm cup with a standard arm. The hinge plate on the carcass side panel adjusts the door up and down, in and out, and side to side. Setting in-out first, then up-down, then side-to-side is the standard adjustment sequence. Shelves inside the cupboard are usually adjustable on pin holes. The shelf loads need to be considered when setting pin positions. Shelves carrying heavy items need to be positioned lower, with shorter spans between support points. The doors need to be confirmed closing flush and the catches or magnetic closers confirmed engaging before handing over. A lot of Sydney deliveries mean a lift that needs booking, a tight stairwell, or a street with no loading bay. That is normal territory.
