How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Outdoor lounge settings are a combination of a sofa, armchair, and usually a coffee table. The sofa is the most involved piece and should be built first. The sofa frame is usually a timber or aluminium base with two side arms connected by a seat rail and a backrest rail. The base bolts first, then the side arms, then the rails. The seat rail carries the cushion support and needs to be at full torque before the support slats are fitted. A seat rail that is not fully tightened will allow the support slats to bow when the cushion is loaded. Backrest posts on outdoor sofas are often a separate frame that attaches to the rear of the seat frame. The backrest post bolt positions are pre-drilled, and the posts need to be confirmed vertical before the backrest rail is tightened. A post that is not plumb will cause the backrest rail to pull the post further out of plumb when tightened. Coffee tables in an outdoor lounge setting follow the same sequence as an outdoor dining table on a smaller scale. The base frame is bolted first, the top is placed and confirmed flat, and the top bolts are confirmed before the table is loaded. Cushion rails on outdoor sofas are usually aluminium extrusions that clip to the frame. The clips need to be confirmed engaged before the cushions are placed, because a clip that is only partially engaged will pull free under the weight of the cushion and allow the rail to pivot. Work comes from apartments in the inner city, terrace houses in the Inner West and houses across the Eastern Suburbs. We photograph the completed job before we leave.
