Outdoor assembly has one challenge that indoor assembly does not: the ground is rarely level. A dining table on a patio, a lounge setting on a deck, and a gym set on a lawn all need to be levelled on a surface that cannot be adjusted. Adjustable feet are the solution on most outdoor furniture, and setting them correctly is the last step before handover, not an afterthought.
Trampolines have a fixed assembly sequence set by the manufacturer. Frame legs first, rail second, springs starting from a fixed point on the frame. Attaching springs out of sequence creates unbalanced tension that makes remaining springs progressively harder to attach.
Garden sheds are the longest outdoor assembly job. The base frame is first and needs to be level before any wall panels are attached. A base frame that is not level causes wall panels to be out of plumb and roof panels to not meet cleanly at the ridge.
BBQ assemblies position the unit before any supply connections are made. Supply line connections are arranged separately through a licensed trade and are not part of the assembly scope.
