How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Modular sofas are made up of individual seat modules that join together to form the full configuration. Each module needs to be built and confirmed before it is joined to the next. Each seat module has its own frame: two side arms, a seat rail, and a backrest rail. The module build sequence is the same as a single sofa. The key difference from a fixed sofa is that the outer side arm on each end module is a finished panel, and the inner side arm that joins to the next module is a joining plate. Modules are joined by connector bolts through the joining plates. The joining plates need to be flush and tight against each other before the connector bolts are driven. A joining plate that is slightly canted will cause the module tops to be at different heights, and the gap between the seat cushions at the join will be uneven. Corner modules on L-shaped or U-shaped modular sofas are usually a square or triangular section that fills the bend in the configuration. The corner module joins to both adjacent modules, and all three need to be in their final position before any join bolts are confirmed. Confirming the corner module join bolts first will lock the other modules into a position that may not be ideal. Cushion rails on modular sofas attach after all modules are joined and confirmed. The rail clip positions need to be consistent across all modules so the cushions sit at the same height on each module. Most inner-Sydney buildings mean carrying pieces up stairs at some point. That is factored in. Flat-pack waste gets stacked neatly before finishing. A photo of the box or a link to the product page is enough to quote it.
