How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

See-saws have a pivot mechanism that needs to be confirmed before the beam and seats are fitted. The base frame goes together first. The base is usually a rectangular structure with two end blocks and a central upright that carries the pivot. The end blocks need to be at the same height before the central upright is confirmed, because the upright height determines the arc of the beam, and an upright that is off-centre will cause one end to descend faster than the other. The pivot assembly connects the beam to the central upright. Most see-saw pivots are a bolt-through arrangement with a bearing or bushing that allows the beam to rotate. The pivot bolt needs to allow the beam to rotate freely but without lateral play. Too tight and the beam will bind; too loose and the beam will shift sideways. The beam sits on the pivot assembly and is secured by the pivot bolt arrangement. The beam needs to be centred on the pivot before the pivot bolt is tightened, because once tightened the beam is fixed at that centre position. Seat boards attach to the beam at each end. The seat bolt positions are pre-drilled in the beam ends, and the seat boards need to be flush with the beam top surface before the bolts are driven. A seat board that is proud of the beam top will rock at the joint. Handles bolt to the seat boards. The handle bolt holes are pre-drilled and the handles need to be confirmed tight before first use, because loose handles are a safety issue.
