How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Outdoor storage boxes are a simple carcass build with a lid and hinge, but the lid mechanism is the part that needs the most attention during assembly. The base panel goes down first. On a storage box that sits on legs or feet, the feet need to be set before the base is confirmed, because adjusting feet under a loaded box is difficult. The base panel on most storage boxes is a single piece that forms both the bottom and the inner base of the box. It needs to be flat on the ground or feet before the side panels go on. Side panels clip or bolt to the base panel and to each other at the corners. The panels need to be confirmed fully seated at the base before the corner joints are tightened, because a panel not fully down will create a gap at the base join that allows water in. The lid panel is the last structural piece. Most lids are a single panel hinged at the rear. The hinge bolts go through the rear wall panel into the underside of the lid. The hinge position sets the lid gap when closed, and that gap needs to be even across the full width of the lid before the hinge bolts are confirmed. Gas struts on storage box lids that include them attach to the inside of the side panels and to the underside of the lid. The gas strut keeps the lid open when raised. The strut needs to be confirmed extending to the correct length before the storage box is loaded. Work covers South Sydney, St George, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the inner city.
