Garden shed assembly starts with the base frame. The base frame needs to be level before any wall panels are attached. A base frame that is not level will cause the wall panels to be out of plumb, which affects how the wall panels join at the corners and how the roof panels sit on top of the wall panels.
Wall panels on a metal garden shed interlock along their edges. The first panel position determines the position of every subsequent panel, because each panel locks to the previous one. Getting the first panel plumb on both faces before the second panel is attached means all subsequent panels will be plumb if they are pushed fully into the interlock.
Roof panels are the last structural component. They sit on the top of the wall panels and need to meet cleanly at the ridge. A ridge gap is visible from outside and allows water ingress. The roof ridge is confirmed sealed before the shed is considered complete.
Storage boxes and bin stores are simpler builds but share the base-level requirement. A storage box that is not level will have a lid that does not seal evenly across its full edge, which allows water to enter at the high end.
