How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Combo wardrobes combine a hanging section with a drawer section in one carcass. The drawer section is the more complex half and should be built before the hanging section is joined. The drawer section carcass goes up first: sides, top, base, and back panel. The runner rails for each drawer go in before the carcass top is locked, for the same reason as any drawer unit: the runner positions are inaccessible once the top is on. The runners on a combo wardrobe drawer section are the same side-mount type used in standalone drawer units and need the same level check. Once the drawer section carcass is built and confirmed square, the hanging section is joined to it. The join is usually a bolt through the shared side panel of both carcasses. The bolt needs to pull the two carcasses flush at the top and at the back. A join not flush at the top will cause the spanning door pair to sit at an angle. Door hinges for the hanging section go on the shared side panel and the outer side panel of the hanging section. The hinge plates need to be at the same height on both panels, and the same in-out depth. Where the hanging and drawer sections are different depths, the door panel needs a packing strip to bring the hinge mounting surface flush with the deeper section. The drawer fronts and the wardrobe door fronts need to be aligned as a set. Running the bottom drawer front flush with the bottom of the wardrobe door is the starting reference.
