How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Two-door hinged wardrobes are a staple flat-pack build, and the sequence is consistent: carcass first, hinges second, doors third, then adjustment and handles. The carcass is the sides, top, base, and back panel. The back panel squares the carcass and goes in before anything else is fitted. On a wardrobe placed in an alcove, the back panel sets the carcass square regardless of the room, and the doors are adjusted to match. Hinge plates go on the carcass side panels before the doors are lifted. The hinge plates have three adjustment screws: in-out, up-down, and side-to-side. Setting the in-out position first determines how close the door face sits to the carcass edge. For a two-door wardrobe, both hinge plates on each side panel need to be at the same in-out position, or the door will not sit flat across both hinges. The hinge cups press into pre-drilled holes in the door panel. Cup depth needs to match the hinge arm length or the door will not close flat. Most flat-pack wardrobe hinges use a 35mm cup, so this is rarely an issue unless the hole was drilled too shallow. Door adjustment runs in sequence: in-out first, up-down second, side-to-side last. Getting the gap between the two doors even requires both doors to be in before the final adjustment pass. Handles go on after doors are adjusted, not before. The handle bolt holes are pre-drilled and need to align with the door in its final hung position. A lot of Sydney deliveries mean a lift that needs booking, a tight stairwell, or a street with no loading bay. That is normal territory. Tell us what needs building and we will send a price.
