How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Open shelving wardrobes are vertical shelving units used in place of a wardrobe carcass. The uprights carry the shelves and need to be plumb and anchored before any shelf is fitted. The uprights attach to a base and a top cap. The base feet are adjusted to level the unit before the uprights are locked to the base. On a multi-column unit, all columns need to be at the same height and plumb on both faces. A column that is out of plumb will cause the shelves to slope toward one end. Wall anchoring goes in after the unit is levelled and in its final position. The wall anchor bracket bolts to the rear of the top cap and to a wall stud. The bracket needs to be in contact with both the unit and the stud before the bolt is tightened. A bracket that spans a cavity without hitting a stud will pull the unit rather than anchor it. Shelves rest on bracket pins in pre-drilled holes at 32mm intervals. All four bracket pins for a shelf need to be at the same height. The span load on a shelving wardrobe is typically higher than a standard bookshelf because the shelves carry folded clothing rather than books, and the distributed load is more uniform. On a unit with a hanging section, the rail height sets the position of the shelf above it. Getting the rail in before that shelf is easier than fitting the rail with the shelf already in place.
