How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Open wardrobes are frame-and-shelf systems without doors. The frame is the main structural component and needs to be levelled before any shelves or rails are fitted. Most open wardrobe frames are a pair of side frames connected by a top rail and a back brace. The side frames have adjustable feet that set the frame level on uneven floors. The feet need to be at the right height before the back brace is tightened, because the brace applies tension to both side frames and pulls them slightly as it is torqued. Setting the feet before the brace goes in allows the frame to be level at the point where it will be used. Shelves on open wardrobes usually span between the two side frames on bracket pins. The bracket pin holes are drilled at regular intervals in the side frames. All four pins for a shelf need to be at the same height. The span on a wide open wardrobe can be significant, and a heavily loaded shelf will bow if the span exceeds the shelf material rating. Most systems note a maximum unsupported span in the instructions. Hanging rails on open wardrobes attach to the underside of a shelf or to a rail bracket that clamps to the shelf. The rail needs to be at a height that clears the longest garments when the rail is at full load. Setting the rail before the shelf above it is loaded is easier than adjusting under weight. Anti-tip brackets for tall open wardrobes attach to the rear of the top rail and anchor to the wall. Coverage spans the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, South Sydney and the inner city.
