How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Two-door sliding wardrobes are a common flat-pack item, but the track alignment is the step that most self-builds get wrong. The top track and the bottom track need to be at exactly the same distance from the front wall of the carcass and perfectly parallel. If they are not, the doors will not run smoothly and will drag on each other at the centre. The carcass goes up before the tracks are fitted: two side panels, a top, a base, and a back panel. The back panel squares the carcass. On a sliding wardrobe, the back panel is usually a thin board rather than a structural panel, and it needs to be fitted before the carcass is moved into the final position. Moving the carcass without the back panel will let it rack out of square. The top track is fitted to the underside of the carcass top before the doors are lifted in. The track has two channels, one for each door. The bypass sequence is fixed: the rear channel carries the front door and the front channel carries the rear door on most designs. Loading the doors in the wrong sequence means the doors cannot pass each other at centre. Sliding wardrobe doors are lifted into the top track first, tilted to vertical, and then dropped into the bottom track groove. The doors are adjusted for plumb using the pivot bolt at the bottom of each door. A door that is not plumb will ride up on the track over time.
