How we price it
The exact price depends on your specific model, since two items that look similar can be very different to build. The most accurate way is to send a photo of the finished item from the store website, or its model reference, when you request your quote. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so several items together in one visit is usually the best value.

Storage cabinets are door-fronted carcasses used in wardrobes, home offices, and utility spaces. The build sequence is the same as an office storage cupboard: carcass first, hinges second, doors third, then adjustment. The carcass goes up in the standard order: sides, top, base, and back panel. The back panel squares the carcass. On a storage cabinet with a locking bar or a rail inside, those fittings go in before the back panel is nailed because access to the inside of the carcass is restricted once the back is on. Hinge plates go on the carcass side panels before the doors are lifted. The plate height needs to be consistent on both side panels for the door to hang without twisting. On a single-door cabinet, there are usually three hinge positions: top, middle, and bottom. The middle hinge shares the load and needs to be at the same in-out depth as the top and bottom hinges or the door will bow outward at the centre under its own weight. The door is hung on the hinges and adjusted: in-out first, then up-down, then side-to-side. On a single-door cabinet the side-to-side adjustment sets the door flush with the carcass face. The door should clear the carcass edge by an even gap on all sides. Shelves inside the cabinet adjust on pin holes. The shelf positions are set after the door adjustment is complete, because the door swing radius needs to clear the shelf front edge. A shelf that is too close to the door face will be struck every time the door opens. Inner-city streets often have no loading zone and limited parking. That is part of working in the city.
