Office fit-out assembly is sequenced to avoid double handling. Overhead storage and overhead cable management are fitted after workstations are in position, because reaching behind a fully loaded workstation to fix a cable tray is difficult. The fit-out sequence is confirmed against the floor plan before the first piece is built.
Meeting room tables are set level and square before chairs are placed around them. An out-of-square table leaves visible uneven gaps between the table edge and the chairs. On a large boardroom table made from multiple sections, the joins between sections are confirmed flush before the base is fixed to the floor.
Breakout furniture for staff kitchens and informal meeting areas is assembled in place. Bar tables are levelled before stools are placed around them. A bar setting where the table and stools are mismatched in height is uncomfortable to use. The table height is confirmed before the stools are assembled and placed.
Bulk workstation runs are built in sequence across the floor. The first workstation in a run is confirmed level before the next is started. Workstations in a run that share cable management need the cable tray alignment confirmed before the run is complete. Work covers the inner city, City Fringe and South Sydney.
