How we price it
Prices are based on the items being assembled and are returned the same day when photos are included with the quote request. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so booking several items together in one visit gives the best value.
Bronte is mostly houses rather than apartments, and that changes the profile of jobs here considerably. Families setting up kids' rooms and couples moving into larger homes account for a different furniture mix than the compact storage orders that come from the denser suburbs nearby. Bunk beds, loft beds and kids' storage combinations are common, as are full bedroom suites with a frame, dresser and bedside tables all arriving from one retailer. Assembly for a kids' room typically takes longer per item than equivalent adult furniture because the instructions specify tighter tolerances for parts that need to hold up under repeated rough treatment.
The Federation-era homes across much of the suburb have wider hallways and entry doors than a Sydney terrace, which removes the main access concern that dominates terrace work. Houses are spread across multiple levels on the hillier streets, and larger pieces such as entertainment units, bookcases and L-shaped desk combinations are worth thinking about in terms of which floor they will end up on before ordering. Bedroom wardrobes, particularly PAX systems with hinged or sliding doors, are among the most requested single items across the suburb. Getting the top rail plumb and level across a long wardrobe run matters more when the system is wide, and taking the time to get it right at the installation step avoids the doors binding or misaligning over time.
Outdoor pieces come through regularly given the house format: dining table and bench settings, lounge chairs, market umbrellas and assembled BBQ surrounds. Some garden areas are reached via side gates or down steps from the main entrance, and for heavy dining tables and assembled barbecue benches that access detail is worth confirming before booking. A small number of newer infill apartment buildings across the suburb have the access characteristics of an apartment building rather than a house, lift-dependent with narrower entry corridors.
