How we price it
Prices are based on the items being assembled and are returned the same day when photos are included with the quote request. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so booking several items together in one visit gives the best value.
Double Bay has a high density of apartment buildings relative to the size of the suburb, concentrated around the shopping village and along the harbour foreshore. The buildings range from older blocks with the Art Deco and mid-century characteristics common to the eastern suburbs through to newer high-rise residential towers. The furniture profile in the apartments leans toward quality pieces ordered from higher-end retailers, Freedom, Nick Scali and direct importers alongside IKEA, with the dining room and bedroom being the most common focus for a single visit.
Dining furniture is a consistent order from this suburb. Long dining tables with matching chairs, extendable designs for harbour-view apartments where the dining area is the centrepiece of the living space, and sideboards to complete the room come through as a matched set or as individual pieces from different orders. Bedroom wardrobes, particularly large PAX configurations or custom flat-pack systems, are ordered regularly. Outdoor furniture for balconies and terraces, compact lounge settings and dining tables that work in the typical apartment balcony footprint, comes through year-round from the harbour-facing properties.
Access for apartment buildings in Double Bay varies between buildings. The older blocks on the foreshore have lift and corridor dimensions that pre-date current standards, and very large pieces may need to be staged or partially disassembled to navigate them. The newer towers have modern lift access and are generally straightforward. Street parking near the shopping village and the ferry wharf is limited, and confirming the building's loading access before the booking day avoids complications.
