How we price it
Prices are based on the items being assembled and are returned the same day when photos are included with the quote request. A $120 minimum applies per visit, so booking several items together in one visit gives the best value.
Waterloo is one of the denser apartment suburbs in the inner city, with a housing stock that ranges from the large residential towers built in the 1970s and 1980s through to the new buildings that have arrived with the Green Square redevelopment. The furniture profile in the suburb reflects the diversity of residents: the newer towers attract the same storage-focused, space-efficient orders that come out of Zetland, while the older residential stock includes a wider range of household types and furniture needs. The suburb's mix of housing eras within a small geographic area means access logistics vary more here than in most of the coverage area.
Compact bedroom pieces, storage solutions and desk set-ups are the most consistent orders. MALM and BRIMNES storage bed frames, KALLAX shelving used as room dividers, BILLY bookshelves and compact wardrobe systems all come through regularly. For the newer apartments in the Green Square precinct, the order profile is almost identical to Zetland: maximising the storage capacity of a small footprint is the primary goal. For the older residential stock, the apartments can be larger than the new builds, and orders sometimes include full dining sets and larger sofa combinations.
Lift access across the apartment buildings in the suburb varies significantly depending on the building age. The newer towers have modern dimensions and goods entries. The older residential towers have lifts that in some cases are sized for residents rather than large furniture panels, and for those buildings confirming the access approach before delivery is scheduled is important. Hard sealed floors appear in the newer builds, and floor protection is standard on those jobs. Parking around the main residential streets in the suburb is generally available outside peak hours.
